The Toyz Collection Story

Toyz Collection began in 1995 as a small passion project by Emmy and Thomas Williams, two lifelong toy collectors who wanted to share their love of vintage toys with the world.

What started as a tiny shop in downtown Oakville has grown into an international destination for toy collectors and nostalgic parents looking to share the magic of classic toys with their children.

Today, Toyz Collection houses one of the most extensive collections of vintage toys from around the world, each carefully selected for its quality, historical significance, and ability to spark joy and imagination.

From a small toy shop to a beloved vintage toy destination

1995

A Small Beginning

Emmy and Thomas Williams open the first Toyz Collection store in downtown Oakville with a small collection of vintage toys from their personal collection.

2002

Expansion & Growth

After gaining a reputation for quality and authenticity, Toyz Collection expands to a larger location and begins sourcing vintage toys from around the world.

2008

Restoration Workshop

We launch our in-house restoration workshop, allowing us to carefully restore vintage toys to their original condition while maintaining their historical integrity.

2015

Online Adventure Begins

Toyz Collection goes digital with our first online store, bringing the magic of vintage toys to collectors and families worldwide.

Emmy’s passion for vintage toys began when she inherited her grandmother’s doll collection. With over 30 years of collecting experience, she personally selects each item in our premium collections.

Thomas Williams

Founder & Restoration Expert

Thomas developed his expertise in toy restoration through years of hands-on experience. He leads our workshop in bringing vintage treasures back to life while preserving their historical integrity.

Lisa Sanders

Toy Historian

With a PhD in Cultural History, Lisa researches and documents the stories behind our vintage toys. She ensures each piece comes with authentic historical context and documentation.
